Pros: Staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful.Cons: After we got on the road I realized that the tires were extremely worn. We were hydroplaning on the rainy freeway and it was quite scary. The car smelled like cigarettes and there was trash from the previous user in the center console.

Pros: The car was sweet.Cons: When I was picking up the car they tried to up sell me 3 times. Then they offered me a soccer mom minivan and wanted to charge me $70 more. I finally just had to say I want to car I had rented to I could get out of there.

Cons: The screens inside the car were smudged and not wiped off well. The person who helped us with our rental tried to pressure us into an upgrade and also into buying the insurance even though we were covered already through our own insurance, and we also already declined it when making the online reservation. He was very pushy.

Pros: Staff was friendly. Car we reserved (Cadillac XTS) was not available. Substitute Infiniti SUV was fun to drive but not roomy enough for 4 adults and luggage.Cons: I know it's difficult to coordinate, but it would be nice if cars reserved were the cars delivered.

Pros: When I arrived at the desk I asked the first person I spoke with why I could not drop the car in Oak Harbor. Her response was "I don't know, maybe it's closed." Then when I gave her my debit card she said I couldn't pay with a debit card because I had a one way reservation. I thought she mean't my flight was one way, not the car rental. I was already upset about the answer to my Oak Harbor question and slapped my credit card on the counter. She refused to continue the reservation process with my because of my "attitude" and made me step aside. I was eventually taken care of by another person who honored my request to return the car to Oak Harbor (where I was going) instead of Burlington, 45 minutes away).Cons: I had to travel because my daughter is in the hospital, my son-in-law is being deployed overseas by the Navy, and I am here to take care of my six year old grandson. Service personnel need social emotional training to recognize when customers nerves are frayed and cut them some slack. I had a perfectly legitimate question and the first person treated me rudely, setting up a bad situation.

Pros: Nothing! I called the downtown Seattle company after realizing that Kayak sent me here when I put in Seattle airport pick up.. I was told the best way to get to them was take the light rail to University district and then uber over to their office. Ok! So I took light rail which took about 50 minutes and then proceeded to get an uber which took another 40 minutes because none were available. When I finally arrived at the Enterprise office it was exactly 3:03. They close at 3:00. The young lady looked out the door at me standing there sobbing dragging a suitcase and turned off the lights and walked out the door. No comment....no concern......Nothing. I then spent another 30 minutes getting another uber and sitting on the curb crying. By the time I got where I needed to go I was over an hour late and missed seeing my son whom I have not seen in 2 years!Cons: Just about everything. Pros: The staff were very friendly and more than happy to work with you. Being from out of state there were some difficulties but they were instrumental in making them easy to deal and smooth.Cons: When I was looking through the car there were fries and pringles under the seat. I do think a little more transparency about fees and processes would have been nice, however, the fault is on both sides as I did not explicitly say I was from out of state when they called to confirm.

No credit check, no issues, no reservation and for HALF THE PRICE! GO TO AVIS!

Pros: We realized there was a crack on the windshield and a couple dents after we drove the car out of the lot. It was a rainy night and we did not want to go through the hassle of driving all the way back and ask for another car. We had hoped that these items were recorded and when we return we would not be dinged for it. Unfortunately The lady who was checking the car back in would not believe us and added the damages as a report on our record.Cons: Empathy and trust are crucial in the competitive service industry. The attitude of the lady who was inspecting our car was unacceptable.

Pros: Quick and easy pick up / drop off. No hidden fees or surprises.Cons: Our rental had never been clean (ever). For a 2020 model with 15k miles on it, the vehicle's interior wasn't only filthy, it was starting to have significant wear and tear. Being in Covid times, I'd expect a little more attention to cleanliness, if at all. The floors of the vehicle were especially filthy, therefore it's evident this car hasn't been cleaned, ever. Crumbs, used tissue, plastic wrappers. Disgusting. Ironically, we returned the car cleaner than we received it by just wiping down the dash and steering wheel with wipes.

Pros: The car was clean.Cons: The checkin process was not clear and instructions on where the car was located and how to exit was not given clearly. It took almost an hour to complete the process. When returning the car, there was no attendant and I had to walk around the car garage to find someone. Very unsatisfactory experience!

Pros: Vehicle was in good condition.Cons: I was forced to pay an additional $13 per day because my credit card would not properly swipe. My wife had to rent the vehicle and add me as an additional driver. We were told my credit card number could not be manually entered, so this was quite frustrating and expensive.

Pros: The workers tried to help.Cons: Their rental desk in Seattle was closing at 1 AM, but I was not made aware of this during my rental, so I almost missed the opportunity to pick up my key. Once I had my car, I was unable to leave the parking lot since the barricade/gate was across and the power was somehow turned off to that portion of the exit. I sat in my car for nearly an hour while the staff and security worked to find a key or way to manually remove the barricade or find another way out of the rental car area. Eventually power came on and they were able to release me and my rental car at about 2 AM.

Cons: Pickup and drop offf experience was terrible. Constant attempts to overcharge for the rental from saying the website didn’t calculate the right taxes to be changed a fueling surcharge at drop off even though I fueled the vehicle before return. Attendant didn’t look at the fuel gauge and questioned me about where I fueled but did refund the surcharge when requested. At pickup the Budget counter wasn’t even open (went through Avis) and the agent had to manually enter rental info because I wouldn’t accept paying $50 dollars more for the rental due to what the agent said was a website miscalculation of taxes. Vehicle was clean, comfortable, and ran trouble free.

Pros: Staff was nice.Cons: The cars weren’t spotless, but that wasn’t a problem for me. We did get have to exchange cars due to a tire issue. We called ahead and discussed it with E-Z Rent-a-Car. Pros: Not a thing.Cons: A rental car location at an international airport that is only open between 10am and 6pm... Just let that sink in and then extrapolate to all of the other areas this company could fail, because they do indeed fail in all of the other areas. It is actually impossible to reach anyone at the counter of this location, even if you do call during their limited business hours. Try calling that location and entering the option for lost and found and you'll be taken to some scam line while entering other valid options will actually hang up on you. The list goes on and on. I won't ever be renting from this company again.

Pros: The staff at Hertz was actually very helpful and courteous. The problem is booking through Kayak.Cons: The problem I have is with Kayak. They allowed me to make a booking for pickup on Thanksgiving day, but they made the booking at the wrong Hertz location. I then had to Uber to the other location, but when I got there, they were closed because of the holiday. So I Ubered to my hotel, then back again the next morning to pick up my car. Because of the miscommunication, they didn't have the car I originally booked available and so I had to pay an extra $10 per day. They also weren't able to refund me for the day missed because of the holiday mixup. All in all, it was a disaster right up until we actually got the car. The car was nice and dropping it off was so easy. But it ended up being a lot more expensive thanks to Kayak's screw up.

Cons: It was difficult to collect the vehicle - getting out of the garage downtown was very challenging, we waited a long time. The first car had a quarter of the fuel missing and shook when driven over 50mph. I took it to another location en-route to swap it out (SEA Airport) and they asked me why I did not go back to the downtown location, I told them I did not feel safe driving a car shaking violently. The replacement car had coffee stains on the dashboard despite Hertz' "Enhanced Cleaning" sticker on the side. Very poor experience.
