Cons: Pick-up was scheduled for 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve. We arrived at the downtown Tampa facility at around 3:50 due to a flight delay only to find the office closed, with s note on the door that it would reopen on 12/26. Fortunately, we were staying with family on 12/24 and 12/25 so didn’t need the car. However, when I showed up at 8 a.m. on 12/26 to pick up the car for a trip to Fort Myers, I was told that there were no cars available at any Alamo facility in the Tampa metro area. The manager snd staff made no efforts to help, Fortunately, I was able to find a car at Hertz, albeit at 2.5x the rate I’d reserved at Alamo. Terrible experience.

Pros: I looked to rent a car at the Tampa airport office, but I don't know why they gave make my reservation in another office so when I arrived to rent the car at the Tampa Airport office the agent did not find my reservation and when I gave him the confirmation of my reservation, he told me that it was in another office and that they could not help me there, to go to another agency, which meant that I stayed longer at the Airport with to young kids.Cons: I thought the agent should help me to find a car, because I made my reservation on the same agency, diferent location but the same agency

Pros: The Staff was friendly.Cons: I arrived at 9:30 AM for a 9:00 AM reservation and I did not pull out of there until 12:30PM. They did not have cars available or ready for reservations. I understand that the inside of the car needs to be cleaned and disinfected but when it is raining they do not need to be washed. They also did not offer any type of Toll pass and failed to let me know they would be closed upon my returning the rental. This is exactly why I stopped renting from Enterprise. I will make sure that I do not use them from now on.

Cons: I used a dealership far from the airport because they had a convertible available, which I had confirmed as reserved. I paid extra to Uber to the rental office after my flight landed, only to discover that they rented my car to someone else. I will never use this office again.

Cons: Two of The tires kept loosing air. Enterprise was very unhelpful with the situation. The car was dirty and the gas tank was on empty. I had to fill it up after driving it off the rental lot. Zero stars.

Cons: The price I was quoted on kayak was not what I was charged. I was charged twice as much. In enterprise defense I did ask for a bigger SUV. The additional amount for larger SUV was $20 more per day. When I checked out they charged me $423 extra for the upgrade. When I said it should only be $140 ($20 times 7 days) they said they couldn’t honor the Kayak base price. I paid the additional amount bc I needed bigger vehicle. I wished that I had been more clear with enterprise when discussing the total price difference. My recommendation is to verify with rental agency final price if you plan to upgrade.

Pros: I reserved a mini van & was offered a NIssan Pathfinder. I understand that they sometimes run out of a specific vehicle class but a small SUV with 7 seats is not the same. A Tahoe or bigger would have worked but the Pathfinder didn't even have the required LATCH system in the 3rd row which meant I couldn't secure my child's car seat. I raised the concern & was told I had no option but to return to the airport & swap out after driving 1 hour away.

To make matters worse, there was a customer service card inside that detailed how they were going above and beyond especially during this pandemic. The drop off staff could have been friendlier.

Pros: Car was fine, drop off was fine.Cons: It took an hour and 15 minutes to pick up. Only two customer service reps and one of them allowed a woman with no clue to cut out of line and she had no idea how to pay. Instead of having the woman step aside they sat there together while the woman was on the phone and the rep did not help anyone else.. the other representative helped 15 people including myself and that woman was still dealing with the clueless woman..

Only 2 people on staff to handle multiple arrivals at 10p. Wait was 30mins in line to get processed and then another 20mins to get a car at the garage. Didn’t need to waste an hour after a long flight and crying kids. Return was no better, no staff at return just a sign to leave keys in car. Would have been more tolerable had I not paid $640 for a 4 day rental. Like I said zero value for what I paid

Pros: Great car but not what I reserved and paid for. It was an upgrade without my request or asking for my approval.Cons: They used a bait-and-switch tactic by advertising low rates on Kayak then refunding what I paid on Kayak to my credit card and charging $124 more without my approval. Their policy on Kayak clearly stated "nonrefundable, nontransferable" yet Sixt refunded my payment and rebooked me in a higher priced car without my consent. There was no mention at all that what I had reserved and paid for was not available or any question if I would like to upgrade. They simply made the switch and charged a much higher price. This was my first time with Sixt. I often rent from more reputable companies who will give an upgrade if they overbooked what you reserved and it is not available when you arrive for pickup. I had know I idea they had upgraded the car until I saw it in the spot...so I assumed they must have ben out of the economy I reserved. The agent should have been upfront and honest rather than making all the changes with no mention and then refunding my "nonrefundable" payment through Kayak.

Pros: Good car/good vakueCons: To use the transponder for tolls you were forced to pay $45. Whether you went through one toll or 100 tolls you were on the hook for the $45. There are only a few toll roads in Tampa but I certainly don’t know what they are and being forced to spend $45 for the transponder is a money grab. I’ve rented hundreds of cars and the transponder may come with a three or four dollar fee but then you’re only responsible for the tolls that you go through. At Sixt in Tampa you either had to spend the $45, whether you went on one toll road or not, or risk stopping at a toll that has a cash option. In Tampa there are tolls that don’t have a cash option and you then get billed through your license plate but that comes with a five dollar fine each time. I will never rent again from sext in Tampa

Horrible company...with a reasonable refund policy.Cons: My rental was scheduled to be picked up at 11:00 for an office that was open until midnight. Upon arriving at the counter after claiming bags, everyone had left. It was 11:04. I went to the lot thinking perhaps my car was there but everyone was gone. I was finally able to rent a car (due to the late signing) for nearly twice the amount Sixt was supposed to supply me with a car for. Avoid Sixt like the plague.

Pros: When we went to pick up the car, Dollar did not have one for us. The man working Customer service was very rude and did nothing to help with the situation. We were not the only family who did not get a car. We had to get a hotel which we were not planning on doing, we were driving to stay with originally. We had to take a uber to a hotel. We had to take a uber back to the airport in the morning to get a car. That ruined the first day of out trip. We started out very late and it was very frustrating because we had plans with multiple families. Basically we booked a car ahead of time. Lost a day of our vacation with all the back and forth. We paid for a day of a car that we never got. We paid for a night in a hotel.Cons: We booked through your site to save money. We paid for a car that we did not get the first day. We had to pay to stay in a hotel that we were not planning on. We lost a day of our vacation running back and forth. I would like to be refunded for the first day of my car, That we never got. Pros: Counter guy was not helpful and they charged us an additional $15/day just to add a driver. We weren't using their insurance so for them to add a name in the compute, it cost me almost $100. Felt like we were nickel and dimed.Cons: A nicer counter person. The cars were good that we reserved, the drop off was quick and easy, it was just the charges and the rude counter person.

Pros: I liked the vehicle it was clean and smelled good and it was a nice vehicle.Cons: I had a reservation to pick up my rental, a medium SUV, on Saturday at noon. I arrived at Hertz at 12:15 and was turned away because they close at noon and already had people to help. I was a bit surprised they allow you to pick up at noon when the business closes at that time. I was tuned away and had to come back on Monday to pick up. They didn’t have an SUV so I drove a standard size vehicle. I wasn’t offered any kind of refund for the two days I paid for that I didn’t have the rental and was also not offered anything for paying for an SUV but getting a car. When I asked about a refund I was told to call a number which tells you to call another number

Over all it was a bad experience.

Pros: They were friendlyCons: I rented and paid for a premium class vehicle and was issued a standard class vehicle. When I got back to the hotel I looked at Hertz on line and saw the vehicle I was issued was a standard class. I was not told when I picked up my vehicle that I would be issued a lower level vehicle. When I got back to the hotel I called back and said I was not given the vehicle class I had rented. The employee stated they did not have a premium class vehicle and that was the closest. He stated when I returned the vehicle he would be able to give me a credit due to not getting the vehicle I requested. I asked about another vehicle and he said they could upgrade me to another vehicle for the same price. I stated I would rather do that and would be at the office in 10 minutes. When I got there I had to wait approximately 30-40 minutes. When I spoke to the employee he stated they could not give me the upgrade because it was going to be given out. I then asked why tell me I would get the upgrade and waste my time going back there. Due to the short notice I had to stay with the standard vehicle. When I returned the vehicle they gave me a credit. I have checked my statement and the charge is still what I was supposed to be charged for a premium class vehicle. I called Hertz customer service and was told they could not give me a credit only a voucher. I said I did not think I would want to rent from them again because of the issues I had. 1. Not given the vehicle class which I had reserved 2. When I picked up the vehicle not being told the vehicle I was getting was a lower class (but still charged for a premium) 3. Being told to come back to the rental agency to get an upgrade and once there told I could not get one. 4. My credit card still being charged for a premium class vehicle 5. Hertz customer care not being able to give me the credit I was told I would be getting at the rental agency.

Pros: I never got my car, our flight was delayed and when we arrived a the rental car pace they were closed I was stuck in the middle of no where with no car, had to call a uber to take us to our destination. Next time I will get my car at the airport. No phone call o message letting me know they were closing. I was so annoyed. So no I will never use them again I will pay the extra money and rent at the airport and not from HertzCons: A phone call asking if we were having a problem, or were running late would have been nice or someone to wait an extra 30 min. when they know they have a scheduled pick up. Cons: My original reservation was requested to be picked up at Tampa airport, when I arrived I was told it was to be picked up at downtown Tampa at the Marriott. My wife and I took a Lyft to the Marriott and picked up the car 45 minutes later than anticipated, which had dirty windows and interior touch surfaces were not clean. During driving the car 40 miles to Sarasota I noticed a noise coming from the engine. The car had shut off twice on me with a check engine light coming on. The next morning before starting the car and checked the oil, there was none on the dipstick. I added 2 3/4 quarts of oil to the engine. The noise lessened greatly and has been running ok since. I called Steve at the Marriott and was told I would get a call back which I have not. I am disappointed with this rental at this point. I feel that had I not been proactive in servicing your car my wife and I could have had a mechanical breakdown and Hertz would have had an engine to replace.

Called customer service next day and the guy was rude and combative, keep saying dude its midsize per their grade, we are not dealers. even the Wiki and google says its compact. It was mitsubishi outlander SPORT. Our Friends, who we travelled with were at other rental, they were upgraded because they didn’t have the car they reserved. I was not asking for upgrade I was asking for the car I paid for. Not happy. Decided to let it go and enjoy vacation. Do not recommend this particular location. Not sure about ace in general but will avoid them in the future. Never had this issue with other rentals.

Pros: What appeared to be a competitively priced van rental turned out to be a deceptive come-on ad. (1) Based on the website reservation (I had taken printout) it was supposed to be unlimited mileage, but counter rep said it would be limited to 150 miles/day b/c I was a Floridian and renting in Tampa, FL. I was dismayed and protested at first but accepted that condition since I did not expect to drive that kind of miles for the two day rental. The rep claimed that the mileage requirement was spelled out in Terms and Conditions. (2) Next the the counter rep asked for a utility bill (water, gas, or electric) showing my current address even though my FL driver's license was current with the gold start on it. Once again the counter rep said that this requirement for FL residents is spelled out in the Terms & Conditions. Needless to say I do not carry utility bills with me, and I had not read the fine print of Terms & Conditions readable in a small window on the website. By then I was sufficiently disgusted for not being able to rent the vehicle after having made the trip of several miles to the Tampa airport rental counter. I have rented vehicles tens of times throughout my life, within Tampa, elsewhere in Florida, out-of-state, and in foreign countries. I had never encountered such an issue in the past. In frustration I left without the rental vehicle, got by without one, saved the money, and ACE lost a good customer.Cons: Clearly, ACE has two different standards, one for FL residents and one for the out-of-state visitors. The exceptions for FL residents should be boldly shown in the home page or in the very beginning.

Pros: The FOX staff was short and not helpful. The time for pick up was changed by KAYAK and the staff at the counter wouldn't accomodate us with a car at the time we requested. They said all the cars were being cleaned but it was odd because it was 8:30 am and the airport was completely empty. I was the only other customer in the whole place. They offered me a bigger car at triple the price but I would have to wait for two hours. I checked with ACE and they were just as unfriendly. We left and rented a car at a location outside of the airport. It was a hassle.Cons: KAYAK should honor the time requested by the customer and not change it on the reservation or at least notify us if they have to change the time for a valid reason. The rental car companies know how to take advantage of customers caught in that situation.

Pros: Once we actually got to a staff member (after waiting in line for over an hour because the Payless, Avis, and Budget counters were all combined), he was very polite and helpful. The car was new and it was very nice. Drop off was an ease.Cons: A warning at least would have been nice about the lack of staffing or the possible extended wait times. The fact that I set a pick up time and expected to go to the counter to get my car, but waited in line for over an hour instead was frustrating to say the least. I have appreciated an offered substantial upgrade or refund for the inconvenience.

Pros: Nothing.Cons: Don't attempt to reserve a car with this company online unless you will be picking it up during "business hours." This is NOT shown anywhere during the reservation process on Kayak, but you'll see it in the confirmation email you get after booking. My flight was arriving later at night when Executive Car Rental was already closed. I called ahead to see if I could make other arrangements to pick it up after hours and they said no. I asked if I could pick it up the next morning when they were open again and they refused, even when I said I would pay for the extra day of reservation when they were closed. I asked if I could modify my reservation to just pick the car up the next morning and they said they were "sold out." Basically, they wanted to rent the car I had already reserved to someone else at a much higher price (I saw the prices increase by $100-200 for the days I had already booked). Lousy company - book earlier with a bigger chain to avoid the hassle and stress.

Pros: The staff was great! I received a call the day of telling me how to find their rental slot once at the airport (which was a little confusing if you've never been there) and so was helpful. They were very pleasant and did everything possible to help us in the transaction.Cons: We purchased our auto insurance through Kayak only to be told a the counter that they did not accept their insurance and had to use theirs. Theirs was more expensive and then we had to call and cancel the insurance we had previously purchased.

Great price!Cons: We booked the car through Priceline. We received a great deal for a compact car. Our flight got changed to a later time and we were going to pick up the car 2 hours later. The car rental home office told us they could not guarantee the car for two hours later and there might be a possibility we would have to re-book another car at a higher price when we arrived. I was willing to pay for the rental ahead of time and they said it could not be done. Very confusing and annoying.

Pros: Sayed is an exceptional employee; friendly and knowledgeable, he made the entire rental experience more excellent! He deserves a salary increase. He cares about people and makes sure everything is good-to-go with the process and car. Make sure he gets a good bonus or raise.Cons: We overlooked the FL resident portion and had to contact insurance company to verify we carried a policy and that it was transferrable to our rental car. Just a slight hiccup that took some additional time, but that’s not on the rental company, that was on us. A great company and great value.

Pros: Easy to reserve and pickupCons: There was no damage declaration form and I was concerned because the car had a moderately large sized dent on the front pillar over the driver door when we picked it up. There were no false charges or anything, just made me a little worried.

Pros: The staff was nice, the car was good. The turn in was great.Cons: The pick-up was very slow, the car I reserved was not available, it took an excessive amount of time to place me into a vehicle that would work, but the internal space available and the gas mileage were considerably worse than what I requested. The car was clean, but not fully cleared.

Pros: The price was great for the 1st few days.Cons: Would have been nice to know up front that it costs an extra $10 to extend your rental agreement...would have been nice to know upfront it costs an extra $10 to change drop off location. It would have been critical to know my rental price would jump from $17 per day to $50 per day because I had to extend my rental agreement due to my car not being repaired yet. I am extremely dissatisfied.

Also, although I rented at 11pm, the place I returned the car closed at 6pm and I was charged an extra day for rental as I couldn’t get there in time. The hours of operation for that location were not made clear when I booked.

Pros: Office Staff was friendly. Car was in good condition that I received.Cons: It's a long procedure to get the car. If there had been any kind of line it could've taken hours. Even in drop off. There's no need for a paper receipt if you're emailed it as well. The bus for the airport couldn't be bothered to wait for me to drop the keys. The guys who maintain cars and drive shuttle were not friendly. We seemed to be a bother.

Cons: The checking agent was rude and appeared very unhelpful. we waited for over 20 minutes because no one was at the office at 6 am. There was quite obvious damage to the car door which was not logged previously by the company- if we weren't thorough, we could have missed it in the dark and be liable.

Rip OffPros: The price was right going in. But renter beware! The will find a way to gouge you!Cons: I picked the car up at 3am in a poorly lit parking lot. Afterward u noticed some pre-existing damage on the car. After several 20 minute dropped calls u spoke with the manager Sam. He interrupted me as I was explaining the damage on the car. No problem! Just let them know when you return the car! Complete lie! I go to return the car. I explained the situation. The guys first response: Sam is not here! Fill out this accident report! When I told him I was going to write a poor review he just laughed! Eventually Sam came over and said I signed off on the car so therefore I was responsible! I intend to pursue this through the media!

New rental company experiencePros: Picked up at the airport in one of the rental cars instead of a shuttle bus, and got to talk to the driver about the company and procedure while going from the airport to the rental location nearby. I hadn't done an all electronic type of rental before. They made it easy. Once you got the app loaded it was easy enough. Nice clean new Audi A4. Also a drop off at the airport, upon return, in the car that you had rented, so you don't have to move your bags or ride in a bus back to the airport. Very convenient to get dropped right at the curb by your airline departure location. Great experience. Helpful people from end to end. I'd use them again.Cons: Loading the app on my iphone was a bit of a pain. I couldn't get the pages on the app to scroll correctly so I could fill out the forms. I ultimately had to fill in the needed information to sign up via my laptop. Once I got through that it was easy. And with the app loaded I won't have to go through that again.

Cons: Car was supposed to be at airport in Tampa. Find out some how my reservation was for Tampa 5 miles away. Had to take a taxi from airport to car rental place 10 mins away. And wanted to charge us 160$ at airport when we booked for 40$. And this car is not in good running condition.

Mixed experiencePros: Loved the car I was rented. Newer model. Very clean.Cons: Phone number to National did not work so unable to stay in touch when I needed to talk to someone in the office. Car not ready when I arrived (person helping me went and cleaned it himself, so that was helpful), printer not working so no paperwork to take with me. I put in TPA for airport and was given an offsite location. I thought I was renting from airport and went there first. Big disruption to my plans. Ultimately my fault for not paying attention to the address, but also very confusing process that I was clear I wanted airport.
