the hotel services were poor, the room was very old ,-Housekeeping was very rude no towels. bed was very worn out and uncomfortable as the rest of the furniture was worn out and the bathroom sink too.
Nothing was pissed they didn’t tell us breakfast had a cut off time and we were only 5 min past it n they still refused to give us any breakfast I will never return
Room had mold, the tv had only 4 channels n the coffee maker was missing its tray
When we arrived, the staff was friendly
When we entered the room, we noticed it has a strange smell. That’s not a big deal as I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and sometimes this happens. However once we put our stuff down, we went into the bathroom. The sink wouldn’t drain, and when we looked at the bathtub there was a cockroach trying to crawl over the side out of the bath. Not awesome but we killed it. Then we went to check the beds to make sure they were okay to sleep on, and found a hole in the comforter that looked to be from a cigarette burn. Lastly the breakfast the next day was over $20 for 2 people, plus mandatory tax and 15% tip included, and the buffet was less options and quality than most free breakfasts at cheaper hotels.
Decent for the price
Good price and location. Friendly staff.
Some elevators didn’t work. Staff couldn’t provide laundry soap. Limited access to on-site dining room.
Customer service was aueful
Nothing really...
Understanding the Ramada isn't a 5 star resort, this hotel was terrible... I would not recommend to anyone.. I only stayed as this was apart of my cruise package offering, so I knew what I was getting myself into. Staff were helpful, but the place is a 1 star hotel for sure.
The Goid, Bad, and Ugly!
Checking process was fairly easy once she found my reservation. Multiple entrances to the hotel makes it a little easier to find some parking.
The hotel is very dated. Sink was cracked and peeling. Tub was old and appeared dirty. The clerk could not find my reservation even with my reservation number and confirmation email. The parking lot floods to point where you are getting wet to your calves to walk into the building. Tennis court should be torn down to create more parking. We weren’t given any check out instructions. Only one room type to chose from. Would like to see a queen or king size bed option for couples.

Location, the staff very helpful.
No refrigerator, no weights in the gym. I stayed there 4/5 times and the breakfast didn't change,
Good value for the money
Good breakfast, location, enough parking.
The facilities are pretty old and in need of a refurbishment.
Warning! Roach Motel. Don't believe the good reviews.
The hotel was nothing short of terrible. A group of friends and I decided to stay at the Ramada Inn at the Plaza while we attended a wedding that weekend. It wasn't our first choice, but it was all we could get on short notice. When we checked in the first night we noticed that the hotel charges a $50 deposit in addition to the hotel cost, which wasn't addressed when we registered. After checking in we had an eerie feeling about the hotel, it reminded us of the Bates Motel or The Shining. We always felt like someone would start running down the corridor with an ax! The setup of the hotel is odd. The parking lot circles the entire hotel, but it's difficult to get into the hotel on any side, other than the entrance. So a few of us went in and opened the side entrance for the rest since there was no parking in the front of the hotel. While I was holding the door a man bum rushed me to get in. I was so scared! The guy looked like a murderer. The room had a look of general filth and we were only too glad to checkout without catching a disease. As we were waking up to check out the last morning, a roach began crawling over the walls in the room. My friends went running left and right trying to avoid contact with the critter. I got up to kill the roach and accidentally knocked it into a friend's purse. It took a few attempts, but we were able to get the roach out of the purse and into the toilet. The flush cemented our final feelings: we were too through with this room! Luckily we left unscathed and had an amazing time of bonding and an opportunity to see friends walk down the isle. However we vow to plan ahead in the future! Please do not stay here!
The location was great with shops and restaurants literally across the street
I am upset I was able to receive my Rewards points because I didn’t book directly through Ramada I didn’t like there wasn’t a microwave or fridge in the rooms especially for the price I paid but was told I could rent one $10 per night
Just OK
The location was ok, with access to the turnpike not far away. A shopping center is across the street and pharmacy about a 5 minute walk away. The staff were good and helpful. The amenities were ok as well. There were tennis courts (a rare find these days) and a basketball hoop in addition to the pool.
The property is old and it shows. There was mold/mildew visible in areas around the a.c. units and in the bathrooms. I had to ask to change rooms because the condensate from the unit in the room above mine was dripping, very loudly, onto a metal panel. The constant dripping would be enough to drive anyone mad. Only 2 of the 4 elevators on the property seemed to be working. They are also slow, so during the busy period the wait can be long. When not moving bags, it was sometimes faster to just use the stairs.
That it was claen and the swimmingpool. It is nice to sit outside. The diner was very good
The breakfast was not international
nice pool and hot tub and very nice bar by the pool
The room was ok, the services and the breakfasts
none
The swimming pool was wonderful and the staff very helpful.
Location
Service very bad during breakfast time. Staff can′t handle all the tables they have and control the numbers of tables they want to serve so you have to wait at the lobby for 15 to 20 minutes every day with an empty restaurant and 20 persons at the lobby for a buffet breakfast.... Feels like they want to get you tired not to serve you so you go somewhere else.
The pool and Tiki bar facilities were attractive and in a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean.
The food was of a rather poor standard. But for a helpful waitress giving us free meal vouchers I would have grudged the price for the quality offered.
The hotel was very accomidating and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
Nice place to stay if you are looking for something close to the Ft. Lauderdale airport. You can have a dinner in the evening for a reasonable price, the breakfast is OK, too.
Wireless Internet is only available in the lobby. The packed parking place is stretched along the long hotel wall, so you might walk a long way from you car to your room in case you are not lucky to find any free slot.
The beds were comfy and clean. The breakfast and service were excellent.
The air con was extremely noisy the room decor was very tired and needed updating. The carpet was sticky and the corridors were very long and depressingly gloomy. Certainly not a holiday hotel.
It was a nice quiet hotel the staff are very nice.
Fort Lauderdale, renowned for its beauty and tourist-friendly atmosphere is the backdrop for the Plaza Hotel. It is a relatively short 9.3 miles from the center of Fort Lauderdale and only 8.8 miles from Lauderdale Beach. This gives guests access to a wide range of activities and attractions.
However, there may be no need to leave the property at all. The fitness center can help guests stay in shape and there is even a hair salon at which guests can spruce up their doo. Inside, there is an arcade for hours of fun for young and old alike, and outside lie tennis courts for some one-on-one exercise.
The rooms feature convenient coffee makers and free Wi-Fi. Children who are less than 17 years old are able to stay for free if they are accompanied by an adult. The atmosphere is similarly welcoming, focusing on relaxation while sprinkling the experience with a touch of style. Rooms look out to the gorgeously kept grounds and the lines and architectural choices are simple, yet comfortable.
Beau Alexander’s Bar and Grill provides the food. Delectable offerings including naturally raised meats and fresh produce abound. There is also a buffet option for guests to get what they want—and all they want of it. A visit to South Florida would not be complete without a relaxing cocktail, and Beau Alexander’s Bar and Grill has a nice selection for a variety of tastes.
The local area benefits from the Plaza Hotel Fort Lauderdale as much as the hotel benefits from the gifts of the area. It serves as a perfect launch point for exploring Fort Lauderdale while providing just enough space for some extra relaxation.
