Holiday Inn Express New Orleans - St Charles

Great staff

I was a late night check-in that left early morning and the gentleman tending to a few others and myself at that hour was genuine, friendly and super helpful Instead of annoyed or rude. The decor is different yet Inviting, location quiet for the most part and the rooms offer unique niceties (soaps, coffee, etc not like what you'd find at most chains). Loved the books too, what a thoughtful touch!

Their green initiatives are a great, conscious model of what should be done to protect Lake Ponchartrain but I found stray head hairs in the bed & think that "reusing" linens shouldn't be an option, hygiene wise.

The location was great in walking distance of everything.

The room was so small that it wasn't worth the money! The person that checked us in failed to mention until after the fact their was a deposit for each night that we stayed. We had to ask after we had been gone from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. to get clean towels since no one had cleaned our room or brought new towels.

The room was decorated with books and the interior was not like a typical hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Carl at the front desk help went out in the middle of the Lee Circle to get us a cab. Thank you, Carl.

The walls between the rooms were thin. We could hear a bed shake in another room and clearly hear the noise. In the bathroom, the body soap, shampoo and conditioner bottles were in the dispensers mounted on the bathroom walls, which was fine, but I could get enough body soap from it. The bathtub drainage was very slow. It was a good 20 min walk to Canal St. it was fine with us, but may be too far if you don't like to walk a lot. it's in the Watehouse district where it's quieter, which we preferred.

The staff were some of the nicest hotel staff I have ever experienced

Short walking distance to all the city attractions. Hotel Staff were helpful and friendly.

The hotel is beginning to looks old and dirty. Furniture in the lobby area needs replacement. Carpets in rooms are stained and the bed linen did not look clean or hygenic
