However, I spent a frustrating 45 minutes when trying to buy a bag and check in when I used the link. Also had trouble using the Frongier app. Could not check in using it."

Cons: "Spirit Airlines is the absolute worst airline to fly on. The planes are old and uncomfortable. The flight was not on time and they charge you for snacks and drinks which should be standard."

This is not the first time I encountered this with Spirit airlines. The heightened baggage fees are utterly ridiculous. I also did not like that the seats were sooo close to one another and did NOT recline at all."

Cons: "This is a very long list and repeats much of what I previously mentioned (hidden fees, lots of 'em), but I will add that at the gate there was some sort of mystery drama that led one of the staff members to some pretty exasperated proclamations. It seemed like a bunch of high schoolers running an airline with the amount of professionalism one might expect from a pep rally. We seriously had concerns about the staff's competence at that point. The strange smell just prior to take off and the instruction to close our vents so the plane could take off didn't do much to reassure."

Pros: "The crew was exceptional. A major problem on the airplane resulted in a woman stealing another woman's seat; and then being escorted off by an air marshal. However, the crew was professional, calm, and friendly to the passengers despite a long delay."
Cons: ""Nickel and Dime'ing" taken to a new level. The seats are incredibly uncomfortable - the worst I've ever been in. I will never fly spirit again."

Cons: "There was 3 1/2 delay instead of getting home by 10 pm Sunday night, it was 2 am Monday morning . The whole Spirit Airline experience was poor, paying for luggage was one thing having to pay for a seat that's unreasonable. The additional $110 expense when attempting to get a boarding pass really stinks. In addition to the above disappointment, Spirit didn't load my luggage on the Bwi to Atl leg of this trip. My luggage was delivered the next day. The experience was for going and coming back I seriously doubt I will use Spirit Airlines again."

And when I tried to pay for my carry on ahead of time online it said my confirmation code was invalid. Be more forthcoming with your prices"

Pros: "The crew wasn't as friendly as they could have been, sadly. We were seated next to a man wearing a confederate cap. I was traveling with my Mom, who is 77 and slightly disabled. We are African Amderican so you can imagine the awkwardness. We asked a crewmember/FA if we could be moved as there was ample seats on the flight, he told us no. He did however, allow the passenger wearing the confederate baseball cap to move, to his preferred seat. Two things wrong, one, pretty sure you can imagine what."

Cons: "Had to pay for my baggages when I did not know there was no military exemption. Delays were terrible and seat was horrible experience. When I received my baggage, I noticed someone went through to check my stuff because the zipper was undone and zipper is now broken. No items were stolen."
