Our pre-arranged chair was not there, multiple calls by our Delta assistant finally got us a ride to the chair holding area, but after about 45 minutes we gave up and shuffled off to the security area on foot. Thank goodness my hubby is mobile enough for that to have been an option. When we abandoned our wait we were still 4th in line for an attendant to push the chair. If Delta has any responsibility in this it would be in the retention and compensation for the private contractor."

The overheads were empty above my own seat. I wasn't allowed to go back and reclaim my bag because they had already taken it. And they were completely indifferent to my situation, which isn't surprising given they didn't understand the value of my item. Thus, I had a full blown panic attack for my entire 2 hour flight, my medicine being one of the items also in my now checked bag. It was too late, my bag was taken and thrown under the plane by the time it struck. And the flight attendants also had on perfume that brought on a tension headache due to my sensitivity to scents. Considering they work in a recycled air tube, this seems like a vast oversight on their part and should consider that not everyone can handle even the faintest of perfumes. It may not seem like a big deal to them, because mental illness is still seen as a made up thing, but it was enough of a trigger that I will not fly American Airlines again."

The next available flight to Chicago was the next day so we lost a whole day of our trip. The next day our flight left early again, but we were there in time. Unfortunately my checked luggage was lost. I will be avoiding Spirit airlines if at all possible in the future. The extra cost of other airline companies is well worth it."

Pros: "Price was great. Flight crew was friendly... If you do your research and understand the way spirit airline works there isn't much to be surprised about As far as extra costs and seat size. You get what u pay for."
Cons: "They closed boarding even though the attendant saw me running toward her. I missed my mothers funeral because I was told that they had to leave on time...only to watch the plane sit there for an additional 20 mins after the flight was supposed to leave. Then I was told I could not be refunded for any portion of the flight. When asked if I could speak with a manager I was told I could have their email address. But that no one in management would come up and speak with me."

Cons: "the unexpected baggage fees the unexpected seat fare paid for luggage, that was unexpected, before boarding and had to pay more $$ because of the weight of the luggage had to pay for beverages on the flight"

Cons: "It is so much more expensive than the other airlines - $55 for your carry on and $15 to have a seat - each way. This is adding $140 for a round trip. Customer service is very poor (ATL airport), the ladies here pick and choose who they want to be nice to. It seems that they are OK to just performing a mediocre job, probably because their standards are very low. They need a lot of training in this area. Do not recommend this experience."
Cons: "Flights were canceled hours before the flight was scheduled to leave. The customer service attendant never tried to rebook us, she just stated that everything was full and there were no flights to rebook us on before Christmas night. This forced us to drive to our destination."

Cons: "We boarded then sat on the plane for almost an hour because the passenger count was not correct and it took that long to get the correct paperwork. When we landed in Chicago there was a slight delay getting off the plane because of a gate tunnel issue. Overall well over an hour late."
Pros: "Overall the roundtrip was ok. The on board crew was great. I wasn't expecting alot from the company per the reviews that I read before purchasing my ticket so I just planned to make the best out of the situation."
Cons: "Some of the Atl service agents at the ticket counter need a course or three in customer service as well as a friendly reminder that when customers are within hearing distance they may want to be mindful of the subject being discussed. The seats are uncomfortably close and do not recline."

Had difficulty with website avoiding fee for choosing a seat but finally succeeded. Seat was okay for short 2 hour flight but would be tough for longer flights or large passengers."

Cons: "Gate agent did not give me my boarding pass which had my baggage tag attached to it. When I asked for my boarding pass, the gate agent could not find it. If my bag had been lost, I would not have had a baggage receipt. The younger gate agent could have cared less when I brought this to her attention. Seats were VERY uncomfortable. Spirit charges for everything. Base price is OK but all of the add ons do not make the total amount favorable...it makes the experience irritating."
Cons: "we were missed to board with handicap wife but we were noticed and it was corrected. Think window seats need to be kept for handicap people since we are told to get off last"
