B1 crew crewmembers that are engaged in lightering, Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) activity, wind farm activity, private air/sea crew and other similar crewmember activities;
Students with an F-1 or M-1 visa and their F-2 and M-2 dependents, if they arrive from or have been in Ireland, the UK or Schengen Area in the past 14 days.
Entry requirements
All travelers, 2 years of age or older (including US citizens and transit passenger) must present a negative COVID-19 viral or antigen test result issued 72 hours prior to departure or have a proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days prior to boarding the plane.
Travelers must complete a disclosure and attestation form before departure.
Exemptions or waiver to the testing requirements may be granted by the CDC on an extremely limited basis when emergency travel (like an emergency medical evacuation) must occur to preserve someone’s life, health against a serious danger, or physical safety and testing cannot be completed before travel.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.
Travelers arriving in New York State must complete the Traveler Health Form.
Travelers arriving in Massachusetts must complete the Massachusetts Health Form.
Quarantine requirements
Travelers are advised to get tested 3-5 days after travel and stay home and self-quarantine for 7 days after travel. Even if they test negative, they must still stay home and self-quarantine for the full 7 days. If the test is positive, isolate to protect others from getting infected.??

This then apparently meant that I was to be flagged for all subsequent flights. This meant that in Chicago, after going through two other security checks that day (Zurich and London) and completing customs, I had to engage in a full Homeland security check. This involved removing protective covers from my laptop and phone that were hard to get off (not meant to be taken off regularly) and a full body search that I did not have to do in London. After many hours of traveling, this was very a frustrating experience."

Dinner was cleared and lights turned down about 1.5 hours later, including three opportunities for beverages. Lights came back up only about an hour before landing. Despite that no one seemed rushed. Seconds were offered for coffee, passengers had time to use the restroom before de-planing. We likely had almost 4 hours of our approximately 7.5 hour itinerary to attempt sleep."

Never received meal vouchers. No snacks or water was given during the wait. The steward was very nice and helpful but the gate agent was horrible. Food is not offered on this long flight unless you pay for it. You must walk to the very back of the plane where the food is in warmers. I got a hamburger and it was a bit dried out. Could have been worse...just hard to handle since tomato, lettuce and condiments were on the side. A larger person sat next to me and took use of the armrest between us which made me feel like I lost 4 inches of my personal space."

Pros: "The crew of this flight were amazing, attentive, and so positive. They certainly made the long flight an enjoyable one. The only challenge was that the in-flight entertainment stopped working 5 hours into the flight. That said, the crew informed us of how United would compensate us for that. As for the landing, that was perfect. We eased onto the tarmac so gently it barely felt as though we had landed."
Cons: "I wasn't too excited that the in-flight entertainment quit working about five hours in, but the crew did their best to remedy the situation. It did stink that we were delayed in disembarking, but that wasn't the fault of the crew. Lastly, I do wish that food came complimentary with it being a 9-hour flight. The options presented were tasty looking but it felt a little like we were being nickeled and dimed."

No I was not looking for first or business class just to be asked would have been nice"

The staff said we would automatically be added to the next flight's standby list if we ddin't make it. That was bad information - it didn't happen."

This seat was definitely the smallest I'd ever been in, but I was thankful to that woman for being SUPER understanding and doing other things throughout the flight that made me more comfortable."
