Cons: "The one carry-on policy was silly and included personal items. I was told to repack my purse into my backpack which was already full. The boarding staff stood over me and told me to throw stuff away in my backpack and asked why I had packed certain things. I am in the process of moving back to the US from Korea after two years so everything I had was everything I owned in the world - which included some sentimental things like a stuffed animal from my mother who passed away when I was three years old. The most infuriating part of this however was realizing that there was one other bag in my overhead bin. In fact most of the overhead bins had one to two bags and plenty of room. My repacking and humiliation was unnecessary and it was only for the morbid satisfaction of the lady at boarding demanding it. At one point I heard her talking with her coworkers about “why couldn’t they freaking listen. We announced it three times.” Well I had approached the counter prior to arrival and they told me to get back in line when I tried to ask about my purse and backpack. In additional to the frustration of all of that, I received my checked in luggage with a wheel missing. I had just bought it and now I have to ship a wheel from the vendor in South Korea or buy new luggage. Thank you guys so much for letting me know which airline to never fly with again."

Pros: "Very friendly crew"
Cons: "Head rests"
Pros: "Boarding was quick Flight was on time"
Cons: "Drunken birthday party on board was never asked to stop whooping and hollering and was actually encouraged by the flight attendant who asked passengers to cheer and yell multiple times. Additionally, when they did not stop drinking their own alcohol after the flight attendants asked all passengers to refrain from doing so due to FAA regulations, nobody asked them specifically to stop. Gate change was not well-communicated, and no audible boarding announcements were made. The gate attendants failed to put any information about the flight or boarding on the gate screen intended for this purpose."
Cons: "The plan was dirty. They need to make sure they wipe down everything. It gross"
Pros: "No in flight issues. Seats were pretty comfortable"

Cons: "They charge for water. The seats don’t recline."
Pros: "Spirit website is like a child built it and maintains it. Grammar errors and hard to get a humanity can understand if you call"
Cons: "OTHER AIRLINES HAVE A 50# LIMIT. OUR BAG COST US ABOUT $30 TO BEGIN WITH. THEN THE COUNTER AGENT SAID OUR BAG WEIGHED 48#, WHICH COST US ANOTHER $38. THAT WAS AFTER I STUPIDLY SUBSCRIBED T THE $9 CLUB. KEEP THE MONEY. I WILL NEVER DARKEN YOUR GATE AGAIN."
Pros: "Change of gate wasn't fun but it was handled professional."
Pros: "Was a little anxious earlier in the week after hearing about all of the flight cancellations with Spirit, but it worked out well for my husband and I."
Cons: "No complaints"
Cons: "CANCELLED. NO Assistance with rebook. Refund and you are on your own. Found out later they were have a pilot strike. They didn't disclose that and should have, in my opinion. I had the same exact thing happen on my return flight. Cancelled. No assistance with rebook. Had they been honest and straight forward I could have made proper accomdations for my return flight home. Instead a got the screw job TWICE. I understand that it is not in their control of the pilot strike. But good service would disclose that information as to not cause additional problems. Spirit sucks. Everyone knows that. But they don't have to screw people over and more then already do"
Cons: "An hour late, only food had to be purchased, uncomfortable non reclining seats."
Pros: "No comment"
Cons: "No comment"
Cons: "Gate changed with no announcement. Also plane over 1/2 hour late with no announcement from staff."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The airplane was dirty. And, a woman next to me asked for some water and the flight attendant says, "$3 for a bottle." This is very disrespectful and classist. Not everyone has $3, and I could tell that she didn't. Also, the plane made a terribly loud noise. I feared for my life! The flight was delayed but the crew did not give us updates.... We simply waited. And waited."
Pros: "Horrible. They charged me twice. Never again."
Pros: "The price was great-- keep these great prices at around $120 for round trip, and I will use you All THE TIME!!"
Pros: "The staff and passengers were laid back and pleasant."
Cons: "They also were a bit loud. "Guess you can't have everything. I paid baggage fee but saw passengers on the plane with "carry-ons" that were the same size as my checked bag."
Pros: "You get what you pay for. But $290 for two people round trip from New Orleans to Chicago with one checked bag is unbeatable."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything. I hate spirit. Never again."
Pros: "The flight was inexpensive, on time, and pleasant."
Cons: "The baggage fees."
Cons: "Lost my luggage. Very little room and seats did not recline."
Cons: "spirit customer service is really poor...u guys need to improve a lot..."
Pros: "Very friendly staff, comfortable cabin, prompt service. I've always heard that Spirit flights are usually late but my flight landed 15 minutes early!"
Pros: "Everything was good"
Cons: "Everything was good"
Pros: "I liked the fact that the aircraft was new. I liked how cheap the fare was. I liked how prompt they were in boarding."
Cons: "You have to pay for EVERYTHING! !!"
Pros: "Cheap fare"
Cons: "Expensive bag check fees of $52 across the board, even though signs listed a variable scale based on weight that would have been cheaper. Apparently that's only available if you check in early and weigh your bags yourself or something, IDK..."
Cons: "head rest added on seat very uncomfortable + seat itself is uncomfortable; other passengers allowed to sit in 1st row without paying for it."
Pros: "Staff on the plane was fine. Nice people."
Cons: "The staff responsible for getting the plane boarded were some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. Yelling at customers, threatening to delay the boarding process, and threatening to not board the plane all because the terminal is the worst built terminal I've ever been in. The customers were being patient, and the Spirit employees just kept yelling at us. One of the worst flying experiences I have ever had. Never ever will I choose Spirit in the interest of saving a couple of bucks. Not. Worth. It."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "We were not assigned a seat and had to wait at the gate until everybody got in the plane and they gave us the last seats and were seated separately, although there were 2 seats available next to my friend i was traveling with, but we were told it was a full flight. The flight attendant told us we could switch after the seat belt sign came off, but after that we were told no and one of them was not very polite. Terrible. Hope not to fly with spirit airlines ever again!! I dont want to talk about the baggage also, those people only know how to be rude and don't explain anything!"
Cons: "Too many hidden fees! I didn't know I had to pay for my carry-on. The flight was at 6:20am, so I had to pay for a Super Shuttle, since the Metro wasn't open yet. I should have just flown the slightly more expensive United flight, since they ended up costing the same in the end. Then, the flight attendants were unfriendly, like old school principals. My seat didn't recline AND was tiny. NO entertainment whatsoever - not even a magazine. And while I didn't mind (so much) the lack of in-flight beverage service, the fact that Spirit sells Oodles of Noodes - that's right, OODLES OF NOODLES - on the flight (and for $3.50!) was simply too much. I'll never fly Spirit again. Never."
Cons: "2 hrs delay and poor food selection"
Pros: "It was a smooth flight and everything was on time. My seat was not uncomfortable."
Pros: "The flight wasn't full"
Cons: "Security line at ohare was extremely long"
Pros: "Excellent flight!"
Pros: "The flight was good. I wish there had been a little more room but I will definitely fuse Spirit again if the flight is the right price"
Pros: "I appreciate that they do not want to add cost to all by providing "extras'...."
Cons: "But, that said, a little drink and snack could hardly cost that much more. The cost of this flight was not so cheap to support the "no frills" business model. Cost of baggage was unreasonably high and paying for seats is not exactly customer friendly. Maybe that just offsets the cost of those who get the $49 fares??"
Pros: "Friendly flight crew"
Cons: "At least water should be complimentary ."
Pros: "Price"
Cons: "The service was absolutely horrible. For a cheap flight I guess u get cheap service."
Pros: "Make sure if you use a secondary ticketing company that you look into all the the details on the actual site for the airline your ticket comes from since i bought a flight and was not informed it did not include baggage until checking in. They charged me an outrageous amt for a bag with barely 20 lbs in it."
Cons: "Not knowing that baggage was not included until getting to the checkin counter and thn being charged a price that was twice the ticket for the under weight bag. The csr And crew were wondeful. Also the flight was more the thirty minutes late."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything"
Pros: "Staff were efficient and friendly"
Cons: "Not enough room and seats don't lay back at all. The cushions were so minimal that my tail end got sore sitting in the same spot for hours. Terrible. I won't fly Spirit again."
Cons: "I don't like Spirit's luggage policy. It looks like Airline pushes you to fly with empty hands"
Pros: "I liked the flight crew. Very courteous and professional."
Cons: "I disliked the VERY UNPROFESSIONAL gate crew. I've flow Spirit several times using the same luggage. This particular time, the New Orleans Gate agents were very confrontational, rude, and lacked general customer service skills."
Pros: "Flight was on time and arrived earlier than scheduled. would definitely fly Spirit again!"
Pros: "Terrible customer service and damaged my luggage there and back."
Pros: "On the way to mke they charged us 200$ for carry ons. On the way back, they cancelled our flight and refused to put us on another until 3 days later. They refunded us $350 and we had to pay another $500 to book another flight home. Horrible customer service. Kayak shoukd not work with them."
Cons: "The fact that it got cancelled"
