I kindly asked the flight attendant if I can take empty seat across the aisle from me and was told no without a reason. I thought we were doing social distance ,but apparently not. As for there earlier claim of no 3 seats available next to each other .. it was obviously a lie because the seats just across from me where empty. I hope not to fly on American Airlines again."

Meanwhile, had to pay $35 each for two carry-ons even though we didn't have to pay from Philly. Despite request, no reasonable explanation was given by the supervisor. (Funny, don't know what they would have done if we hadn't paid pre security as no one seemed to be in charge at gate)."
