All travelers, 2 years of age or older (including US citizens and transit passenger) must present a negative COVID-19 viral or antigen test result issued 72 hours prior to departure or have a proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days prior to boarding the plane.
Travelers must complete a disclosure and attestation form before departure.
Exemptions or waiver to the testing requirements may be granted by the CDC on an extremely limited basis when emergency travel (like an emergency medical evacuation) must occur to preserve someone’s life, health against a serious danger, or physical safety and testing cannot be completed before travel.

I was forced to spend my entire vacation without my bag. It's been 16 days, we called the baggage services office several times, wrote e-mails, even talked to someone in person in the MSP office and yet nobody's able to help. All we got were promises for a call back about the status of the claim, but nobody ever calls or responds to e-mails. I'm extremely disappointed and will call DOT and FAA if I don't get a response very soon."

It costs to choose you seats, regardless where your seats are. If you want or need to sit together (ie, sit with your children), you have to pay for it. You can’t even get a glass of tap wearer for free: ALL sodas, water, coffee, etc. had to be purchased, as do all of their snack items. They even charge for a tiny bag of pretzels. And there are many other things that make basic economy on other airlines seem like first class."

I was only traveling overnight so I was able to carefully pack in one very small "personal item" sized backpack. If I hadn't carefully checked their website I would have had to pay $55 for a regular small carry on and far more for checking a suitcase. Most people had similar small personal bags. I was astonished when a woman showed up with a huge rolling suitcase and large carryon. I hoped she was traveling for a month to justify the fees she would incur!!"
Cons: "What they don't tell you up front is you have to pay $23 per person per flight if you want to pick your seat to insure you sit next to the person you're traveling with. I was flying wirh my boyfriend so of course I wanted to sit next to him for the 2 1/2 flights but didn't want to pay $100 for the privilege. We rolled the dice and we're luckily assigned seats together. Not the case for several other people flying together. They also don't tell you, until it's time to print your boarding pass, that if you can't download the boarding pass by smartphone or print at home it costs $10 to print at the kiosk. I had to scramble ro get it printed because the code doesn't show up on an android phone. Again, we got lucky because my boyfriend has an iPhone and could download and print screen our boarding passes. We weren't surprised at all that all food and beverages (yes, water included) had costs associated but thats become fairly standard in the industry now. Overall it was a pleasant flight, the flight attendants were efficient and helpful and we arrived right on schedule."

Was told Spirit is working on correcting problems with their website. Seems to me that Spirit needs to hire more IT people. I will not be flying Spirit again....."

Pros: "The flight attendants did their jobs and were fine. The pilot's announcements were audible and clear. I believe the flight was on time; I think we even landed ahead of time."
Cons: "The plane had not been adequately cleaned; there was an empty vodka bottle in the seat pocket. My tray was askew and I could not rest anything on it; I noticed a broken tray in the seat across the aisle from me. My primary complaint with Spirit airlines is that it is very difficult to impossible to get to customer service via the phone or internet. All the cutesy advertising copy in the world ("Fly, Baby, Fly!) doesn't make up for the fact that it's impossible to talk to a human being."
Pros: "I liked the comfort of the plane and getting to sit next to a cute child. Also, the staff was pretty nice too. The pilots were also really great."
Cons: "I didn't really like all the extra fees and not quite understanding the system. It was a little hard to figure everything out and stressful to pack for. Also, I'm sure this isn't common, but my row of the plane had a dirty window cover anf the trays looked kind of sticky. It wasn't horrible though."
