First, the flat bed is not transformed by a button and it needs a physical person to flip it over. The mat is thin and I can feel some hard edges while lying down. The noise from the engine transmits to the bed and it is hard to sleep even with the noise cancellation headphone."

At night when I was hungry, I asked the flight attendant for some snack, both a male and a female served at my cabin said, "we don't have that." I expected SQ staff to serve one step further, instead of stopping at a no. Can't you recommend something? Throughout the entire trip, whenever I asked something, the way they answered always made me feel that I was a trouble to them. Is it because I was in an economy class and that's how you treat me? SQ, you may want to change what you are proud of. It's no longer a first class service, at least not to us poor economy class passengers."

What bothered me even more is that when the woman asked the flight attendant to tell me to put my seat up, the flight attendant complied instead of telling the woman it was my seat to do as I wished. Why make the seats recline if they are going to bother the people behind? Why tell me to put my seat up if it was not a requirement for all (ie during take off or landing)? I did not appreciate this and it made my flight extremely uncomfortable."

I flew to New Zealand with a large bag and then when I went to check in for my return flight they told me I couldn't check it to bring it back and my only option was to cargo it, which was not helpful being that the cargo was out of the airport and I needed to catch my flight. I was luckily able to check it on a separate flight my boyfriend was going on. But I would have either have had to leave my bag or miss my flight if he hadn't been there. It should have been more apparent that I wouldn't have been able to check it on the way back. It makes no sense to be able to bring a bag to New Zealand and not bring it back. That was very frustrating and overall I was very disappointed with this experience."

They still gave us seats away from each other even if I explained that we have some health issues that’s why we need to stay together."

This is an outragous fee for surfboard and other airlines specificly Alaskian Air, Quanties, and Virgin Australia have been letting us travel with surfboard bags for free that weight 3 times that much. I will never take Cathay Pacific again as we paid more for these flights because we had heard they do not charge for surfboard and they have great service. I had a total of $1200 fspending money for food and transportation for my trip to Bali. That leaves me with $400. Never again will I travel with Cathay Pacific and I will be spreading the word through social Media! Not a Happy Customer!!!"

I especially felt sorry for some of the elderly people who were also in line all that time with noting to drink and no place to sit."

Cons: "Upon arrival in Hong Kong, Cathay representatives automatically re-booked my connecting flight to Taipei assuming I would miss the connection. This was not the case. I was able to get to the connecting gate on time. Cathay representatives in Hong Kong were rude and unhelpful in re-issuing my boarding pass for my originally scheduled flight to Taipei."

Once we got on the plane they wouldnt let me plug into the usb port while we were on the ground. Food Service was terrible. They woke me up (minutes after id fallen asleep) for both food service. First time i thought was accident. Second time i asked them not to wake me up and they said i have to get a do not disturb sticker (why wasnt i just given one before so i could make the decision to use it or not on my own?) Also the food was terrible. I dont expect much from airline food but i can say ive had acceptable meals on other airlines (emirates and lufthansa). The food was not what i expected for one of the highest rated airlines. The flight attendant had me put the seat up during food service so the lady behind me could eat. Wtf?? Never had to do that on another airline. When i was not sleeping they rarely came down the isles with water or juice trays. (I saw it once toward the end of the flight)...and trust me i didnt miss it because i was sleeping. When i did get water i had to beg for ice as well."

I had a window seat and the window had a food stain on it. Crew kept serving the person next to me alcohol even though he was drunk. I found that very unprofessional with no regards to passengers sitting next to him. Drunk passenger misbehaved with me and passenger still kept serving him alcohol."

Pros: "Cathay Pacific always seems to have top cabin personnel. They are very attentive and really seem to try to meet your needs, more so than the crews of other airlines. Flying is not a particularly fun experience, but Cathay does its best. It's a bit hit and miss with the food, but this time my special request meals (Asian vegetarian) were pretty good."
Cons: "These 777's have really crappy legroom. A330's are much more comfortable (well, Airbus in general)."

Pros: "The people who work for the airline are the ones who make it one of the best airlines to take. They provide one of the best customer service experiences I have ever gone through."

Pros: "Premium economy was definitely worth the money. Made a huge difference in the long 15 hour leg. Was great to be able to stretch out, as well as easily step over my seat mate to access the aisle without disturbing them. Reading light was well positioned."
Cons: "I asked for a noodle snack a few hours after dinner and the young, uppity stewardess rolled her eyes at me, like it was a huge imposition. She brought the snack 27 minutes later, cold and handed it to me in a huff. It made the rest of the flight extremely uncomfortable, since I didn't feel comfortable asking for water or anything else the entire 10 hours. It soured my experience with Cathay and definitely spoilt the experience of Premium Economy. The older, more seasoned staff was much nicer and politer."

Cons: "I was not given a meal for dinner. When I asked they sheepishly looked away from me and told me that there would be a voucher when we landed. We did not get any voucher,nor did they make an announcement that they ran out of food and would not be able to feed half of the plane. I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled, as people next to me were given first class meals and I was given one piece of cheese and one cracker. In the morning for breakfast my meal almost didn't come, I had to ask for it. And when it was given to me it was already opened and messed with."

I couldn't sleep at all and not even headphones drowned it out. That part wasn't really the airline's fault though, and I could see that the flight attendants were asking her several times to get her son to quiet down. I just wish there were regulations on these sorts of situations. Everyone around you suffers when you bring a small child on a very long flight because they will inevitably be bored, cranky and uncomfortable, and because we are confined to our seats, we are forced to suffer through it all. I wish that children under a certain age would not be allowed to board flights over a certain length of time except for special circumstances."

Pros: "The "very" new 777-200 was very comfortable, well-laid out. I usually skip or leave half of the in-flight food served, but this rates as one of the best meals, I've had in an airplane outside of business class. The in-flight entertainment/information service was decent, but perhaps because the plane was still in new condition."
Cons: "On this entire business trip, I booked with other companies, but ended up 5 flights operated by American Airlines. One cancellation, 4 delayed, 3 late arrivals. The last one was the most annoying. I will be avoiding AA in the future. The domestic crews are generally brusque and miserable. The international flight crews were more accommodating and pleasant, but most of them also seemed annoyed at passenger presence. Also, having to pay for a preferred seat on a half-empty airplane is simply unfair. By 24hrs before the flight, AA must have known there were plenty of empty seats."

Lastly, these delays caused the plane to arrive in Tokyo at 12:30AM (originally it was 10:30PM). All transportations options were closed. I had to take a $90 USD taxi fare into the city. JAL or AA should have given travel vouchers to everyone who needed them. BAD SERVICE, BAD COMMUNICATIONS, BAD RATING."
