I was then rebooked on a flight that was leaving to NY, with a connecting flight to Boston at 7."

The staff at Atlanta's airport were great from the curbside checkin agents to the wheelchair attendant and gate agents so that they 45 minute delay due to air traffic in New York was hardly noticeable. The flight attendants were pleasant and friendly and the food was delicious. We actually arrived ahead of our adjusted ETA, after a very smooth flight."
Cons: "Upon arrival in New York, the 3 of us who needed wheelchair assistance waited and waited for them to come. Finally, the gate agents rounded up some wheelchairs that were sitting around nearby just to get us off the plane and to the gate area. After waiting about 15 minutes, while hearing the gate agents being told repeatedly by the wheelchair dispatcher on the radios that they were coming and were passing through security, 2 female attendants finally arrived and they took the two elderly ladies and off they went, leaving me there waiting. I continued to wait, and wait, and wait for ANOTHER 25 MINUTES, total of 40 minutes after arrival at the gate. The same dispatcher lady continued to say that my attendant was on the way, passing through security for the entire 25 minutes. He asked me to change wheelchairs because he liked his better. He didn't offer to take my laptop bag and put it behind. He took off down the concourse before my feet were even on the footrests, with me holding my legs out in front of me because the footrests were up. After 20 or 30 feet, I got him to stop and let me get my feet down. I told him our luggage was supposed to be at carousel E, so he took me to "A". He asked me if any of the bags there were mine, and I said, "Why would they be here? I told you we were on Carousel E!" So then he wheeled me to Carousel E, and since it had now been almost an hour, it was empty. He asked an attendant where my bag would be, and was told to check at the office, which was back over by Carousel A. Upon finally checking with the personnel in the office, he came out rolling my bags and stood them by me for me to deal with while he just pushed the wheelchair. I had told him I was taking Uber, so he deposited me curbside near the taxi stand, which was not anywhere near where Uber could pick me up and was gone. FINALLY, after arriving earlier than expected at 3:25, at 4:43 I was finally picked up by Uber to go on home. What a nightmare! I thought the wheelchairs were supposed to be waiting upon arrival????"

Also in the back of the plane there were 4 empty rows, I am 6’3” so planes are already uncomfortable. I asked if I could sit in an empty row and they told me no with no apparent reason. Also I’m not a fan of how frontier nickel and dimes their passengers. Don’t forget we are the ones keeping you guys a float."

I think it is ridiculous that you do not have staff at the kiosk for your early morning flights. This type of service is unacceptable!"

After my ticket had been scanned at the gate and I was already halfway down the gangway, a gate agent began yelling at me to come back. The other passengers looked at me like I was a criminal or something and it was quite humiliating. The agent said (rather rudely) that I had to pay an additional $40 for my carry-on. I explained that I was told the bag was fine when I was at the ticket counter but they did not care. They further informed me that I was paying $10 more for my bag than I would have at the ticket counter, leaving me feeling scammed. I emailed the company immediately upon arrival, explained the situation, and asked for a refund of the carry-on fee given the unusual circumstances. I was flatly refused. Horrible experience, horrible employees, horrible customer service, horrible airline. Their ticket prices might be low, but that only seems to be to lure customers in so they can be tricked and swindled for more money. I paid more for my bags than I did for my ticket!! This company seems to operate on a "bait and switch" business model and through some research I did on them following this experience I found they already have compliants against them to the Better Business Bureau. AVOID THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COSTS!!!"

I had checked the status that night when I checked in and early in the morning and the system said that the flight was on time. It wasnt until I reached the airport and the lady behind the baggage counter told me that the flight was delayed for two hours. I went to go eat with my daughter at the Chilis restaraunt. I figired since the flight was delayed why not have some lunch and head to the plane an hour before take off time. I left the restarant and went through screening. One of the TSA memebers asked me why was I going in so early when the flight was on delayed. I let them know that the flight was suppose to be taken off in an hour so they let me through. As I'm walking through the terminla they have someone walking bu asking if anyone was getting on the frontier flight. I told them that I was on that flight and they told me I needed to hurry up because the plane was about to leave. I became nervous ans started running down the gate to make it to the plane. I'm running with a two year old so Im pretty sure that you can only imagine how difficult that was. Once I reached the gate I was out of breath and it was suppose to be eight minutes before we took off. However we sat on the plane for about another thirty minutes before we left. I feel as though the communication with the airline is not there 100% and if you are sitting in an airport you should be able to hear the update especially when they are not planned ir taking place at a time that is different from what was already relayed."

Cons: "I booked because of the cheap rate. Only to find out at the airport that they charge 25 for carry on luggage...I knew they charged for checking luggage but for a carry on?! ridiculous. Adding those $50, price is the same or more expensive than other better airlines. There was no food whatsoever. Almost 4 hr flight and no food....the food they sell is basically snacks...not even a sandwich. The seats are insanely thin and hard. Entertainment? You have to pay for that. Never seen this kind of horrible service. I lost my flight coming back from NY because of the bad weather conditions. The airport was insane, we got off in the middle of the freeway because cars were not moving and started running. I left 3hs30 before my flight and still lost it...thats how crazy it was. Not only they didnt offer any help, they wanted to charge penalty and put me on a flight 4 days from then. Tried calling and explaining, no one cares. Never flying this company again"

Cons: "The stewardess was extremely rude. One of the passengers didn't feel well and wanted some water. The stewardess refused to provide water and kept asking the passenger to get off the plane. It was one of the worst displays of service I've ever seen."

I am sure they didnt do it in purpose, but I have never been in a flight that the flight attendant just missed people like that. The cart stopped next to the seat in front of me, the first flight attendant helped people that sat in the front, the second one started to asked and served beverages for the seats behind me. I thought the first one was going to help us, but they moved so fast and far behind us right after that. I have never been in any fllight that charge people for soda."

Pros: "The flight was cancelled 1-1/2 hours before the scheduled take-off [9 am flight on 12/16/15] without any explanation whatsoever. The counter representatives gave very inadequate instruction, and did not appear very compassionate to the customers. I had to wait on hold for a CSR for 50 minutes before I was helped. Then, it took 45 more minutes to schedule another flight on American Airlines. The whole event was unnecessarily stressful."

Cons: "We didn't even get to go on the plane. The flight was cancelled before we got to the airport. They gave us no explanation why it was cancelled. Also the information they gave us was terrible. A woman gave us a parse that said "call this number to reschedule" as soon as we called it, the reply was "I'm sorry we are closed try calling this number." It took about 2 hours to figure out how to get scheduled on a different airline."

Cons: "The plane was forced to do a mechanical update by the FAA. It was thus 6 hours late. The mechanical should have been tended to in regular service of the plane - not before boarding with passengers. They are clearly not doing a thorough job at maintenance requirements. Given that the plane was stopped in Denver (their headquarters), they should have provided another plan from standby - do they not have any planes ready to go on standby at their hub?? Get some! Passengers were given lunch vouchers at the gate, but only one of the food vendors would take them citing poor contract relations with Frontier and not getting timely paid. That one (a Pizza place) was very reluctant to take the voucher also. In Addition: $45 for a small carry-on bag was ridiculous as was no complimentary music, tv, cracker, peanut or coffee. I was unable to check-in online with my cell phone due to poor user friendly programming and poor communication of data from Kayak"

MY REQUEST TO MOVE WAS NEVER ANSWERED AND IGNORED. AND, FLIGHT WAS DELAYED DUE TO AN EQUIPMENT ISSUES CAUSING ME TO BE LATE TO A MAJOR EVENT. CHECK IN PROCESS WAS HORRIBLE, LONG AND OTALLY DISORGANIZED. I WILL THINK HARD BEFORE I FLY FRONTIER AGAIN."

Cons: "While waiting to board myself and other passenger's noticed a one hour delay (normal) so we stepped away to the nearest bar. Then 45 min before the delay we were rudly interupted that we were to board now. Even though none of us heard an announcement and I checked the delay time at the game five minutes prior. Then when unable to land in ohare we fly around for an extra couple hours instead of landing in a different airport. Until running out of fuel we landed, unboarded, and rebaorded in a 15 min span. I didnt have enough time to even buy dinner.We were held on the plane at first saying if we were to get off we could not return.This all caused me hundreds of dollars for a car rental because I consequently missed my train home. As of right now I would not suggest this airline I was offered 0 compensation for my troubles. Just the flight attendant apologize then suggest we thank the pilot for the small layover in Milwaukee on our direct flight."

I understand we all need to take off ASAP, but they've got to understand if everyone was standing at the gate, there would be no room to stand so we all disperse and know we can check our smartphones for updates."

After paying I get to the flight gate and i see people with luggage bigger than mine. I asked how much did it cost to bring it on and they told me it is free for one piece of luggage. So on my way back to Tampa I didn't mention anything about a bag and it was free. I feel the representative should have told me it was free to take it on."

Cons: "I was flying with Spirit Airways from Boston to Atlanta on the 5th of August 2016. Unfortunately, I missed the flight due to my flight with Delta Airways being delayed in Amsterdam. I had booked a return flight with Spirit Airways for the 25th August 2016. I understood, of course, that this was not the fault of Spiirt Airways that I missed the outbound flight. I went to the check in desk, explained that I had been delayed in Amsterdam and could they possibly get me on the next outbound flight. As it turned out there was not another flight available for two days. So I explained to the staff in Boston, that I would try and get a flight to Atlanta with another Airline. Which I was able to do for the same evening. However, I made sure to tell the Spirit Staff that I would be traveling on the return flight, and the lady confirmed that this was fine. My express words were, I know that I have missed the flight, and thats OK but I am checking in now and want it confirmed the my return flight is still booked and i am checked in for it. The lady said Yes , that will be no problem! She also gave me the contact number for customer service, so that I could phone them and see if there way anything I could do.I was informed this was a free number and when I phoned it, I spoke to somebody in India, whom I could not understand, a few minutes later my twenty credit was gone, so obviously NOT a free number! I found another Airline to take me to Atlanta. So I was happy in the knowledge that my return flight with Spirit was fine and I was checked in for it. However this turned out not to be true! I received an email from Kayak a couple of days later, to say that , as had not checked in, both flights had been cancelled. Of course, I was furious, I telephoned Kayak to see if there was anything I could do but they told me I must get in contact directly with Spirit, which I did. It was, once again, the customer service number, in India! They told me I would have to go to the counter in Boston and ask why my return flight was cancelled. At this time I am in Atlanta and asked them, did they realize how far Atlanta was from Boston!! I also asked to speak to a Superviser, at which point I was cut off! I then telephoned again and asked was it the normal procedure to cancel both the outbound and return flight, if the outbound flight was missed. I did not get an answer to this question except to say they did not know, again I asked to speak to a Superviser to be told no. I had checked in, as far as I knew, the return flight had been paid for, so I do not understand or accept that they had any right to cancel my return flight. I also had no choice but to rebook my flight with Spirit because I had to get my connecting flight from Boston on the same day. This cost me $211 plus $50 for my check in bag. Given that I had already confirmed with Spirit, this is a total disgrace and I have been treated very badly by them. I fly regularly and have never encountered anything like this"

Maybe 15 or 25 cents when you buy it in bulk. But they charge $3.50 or so for a can of soda and to top it off its not even that cold. There planes are very uncomfortable, you can't recline back an inch, they're fixed in one position. Also there flights are always delayed, so if you have to be somewhere in a hurry, forget it your not going to make it. However that being said I do have to say that there crew was very polite and attentive, even humorous. If they could find a way to include certain things in the booking price I believe they would be more successful. I personally will not fly with them again. I prefer to pay a little extra and get more for my money in the long run. That's just my two cents!"

We were more inclined to order drinks and food onboard because we were in good spirits and felt that we didn't need to wait until touchdown to allow vacation to begin. We had to choose to run off the aircraft to grab a sandwich etc vs waiting 3 more hours to eat. When we decided there was enough time, we made no stops, walked off the plane and to the first food booth we saw, and we walked back to the gate and sat to eat our food. Only after watching someone else run onto the jet bridge, did I ask the gate attendant (who was 5 steps away from me) if we needed to board. She casually said "oh yea, we're going to close the gate in 2 minutes" !!! there was no overhead page/announcement/ or her asking if we were on that flight (when she had seen us de-plane and ask her directions, and could tell on her flight logs that some people were still to board). We were super lucky not to miss that flight and I wish we felt that she was working in our best interest. --This was the only lacking part of our flight. --maybe on boarding tickets, you could ** and state that both legs are on the same aircraft? So we could plan ahead? -- perhaps train gate attendants to page prior to gates closing if not all passengers are on board (like all other airlines do) Thank you for considering changes and feedback"
